Background

Rookgaard (also known as Rook) is the island which players first visit, it has limited equipment and monsters, the island exists to give players a first taste of the game and for them to gain some basic skills and equipment to prepare them for the Mainland. Once the new characters have mastered the basics and reached level 8 they should go see The Oracle.

Players who stay longer than level 8 lose valuable mana, health and capacity depending on which Vocation they would have picked.

The only possible way to go back to Rookgaard after reaching the mainland is by "Rooking" yourself, which is done by dying until your character eventually reached level 5. Many players have chosen to stay at Rookgaard.
